Network Video Recorder (NVR)

An NVR, or Network Video Recorder, is a specialized device used in surveillance systems to record video footage from IP (Internet Protocol) cameras. Here are some key points about NVRs:

  • Digital Recording: Unlike traditional DVRs (Digital Video Recorders) that work with analog cameras, NVRs record video data digitally from IP cameras
  • Network-Based: NVRs connect to cameras over a network, either wired (typically using Ethernet cables) or wirelessly
  • High-Quality Video: They support high-resolution video streams, making them ideal for detailed surveillance
  • Remote Access: NVRs often allow remote viewing and management of video footage via the internet
  • Flexible Installation: Many NVRs use Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, which simplifies installation by providing power and data through a single cable

NVR Port Capacity comes in groups of up to 8, up to 16, up to 32, and up to 64 ports
