Guideline for Donations & Sponsorships

As a member-owned cooperative, Consolidated Telcom has prided itself in supporting community needs
throughout its service area. As an investment in the future of the area citizens, this company has historically
supported through its financial contributions those programs and projects that encourage youth, economic
development, and in education. The donation must be for the benefit of the majority of the community and not a
limited number.
Employees of Consolidated have generously given of their time and resources where they live, raise their families,
work and play. For over forty years, the company has participated in and assisted with community projects, school
activities, youth sports, local government, and other non-profit group activities. In addition, the Board of Directors
recognizes the importance of giving back to the communities, especially for those events or programs that impact
the communities served.
Requests for Funds
Groups or organizations may request a donation of funds by sending a brief description of the group or
organization. Included in the request must be a contact name and location; a description of the purpose of the
request and its benefits; an amount needed to accomplish the intended purpose and how the organization plans
to recognize Consolidated as a sponsor. The following limitations apply in the request for funding:
Tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations are eligible. Contributions are not given for sponsorships of sports
teams; travel or travel-related expenses; to individuals; to organizations based outside the companies’
service areas; to organizations of primarily religious or political focus, including campaigns for elections,
or in support of elected officials for any reason at any level – local, state, or federal; or organizations that
discriminate on the basis of age, sex, race, color, national origin, religion, or creed.
Consolidated will not donate its services such as Internet, telephone, Cable TV, etc.
Exceptions to this policy must be approved by the Board of Directors.
